The Northwest Auto Show is hosted by Tom Turner, who has worked in the automotive field for the past 38 years. His experience includes working at service stations, dealerships, parts stores, machine shops, and speed shops. Tom began drag racing in 1974 and has competed in NHRA events ever since, winning a variety of titles and finishing in the top 10 (modifieds) from 1975-79. He won the NHRA Winternationals in 1985 and most recently won the Northwest Nationals in 1997. He continues to compete. Tom opened his own business - Performance Prep - in 1980 and has been in the automotive repair business ever since. He's an active member of ASA (Automotive Service Assn.) and the Service Technicians Society.
